Kimber Stainless Target .38 Super

.38 Super Capacity

Point-and-shoot handling and exceptional rapid-fire capability makes this is a great defense gun. its 9+1 .38 Super capacity is better than other 1911s, and it still has sufficient power.

Point and shoot handling and exceptional rapid fire capability makes this is a formidable defense gun. Based on our action tests our shooter was able to place two shots on a five yard target about 0.25 seconds sooner than with our other test guns. This could make its 9+1 capacity, (which is better than other 1911s), academic when compared to the higher capacity pistols.

I have three Kimbers, Custon 1911, eclipse 1911 and a .38 super 1911.
The only difficlty is finding ammunition in local gun shops. It may be that I live in northern Wyoming. The price through magazines makes it more expensive than the .45 with mailing charges.
The cost of ammo. and delivery can bring that cost 50 rounds can be as much as $30.00 a box or more.
Everything else is about the gun is wonderful.

This pistol seems to have everything. Is it available without forward "cocking" serrations?

Unfortunately the one I bought was a lemon. It shot 5 inch groups from a rest, and I had to send it back for a new barrel. Even with a new barrel I wasn't impressed with the 3 inch groups. Other 1911's I have, shot rings around it. Eventually I converted it to 9mm and 9X25 with two after market barrels, and I'm much happier.
