| The Sig Sauer P250 Compact (shown) was one gun that every member of our staff could shoot accurately with very little practice. The serial-numbered fire-control system, along with the barrel and slide, could be swapped into different grip modules without affecting legal registration. Our Flat Dark Earth pistol was a limited edition model, but Sig Sauer regularly offers other colors as well. The Streamlight TLR3 light was a real flamethrower, and it fit all three pistols. The CZ USA P-07 also proved versatile. It could be fired as a traditional-double-action pistol with ambidextrous decocker or single-action-only with thumb safeties. We liked the CZ best as a lightweight high-capacity single-action-only pistol that we think more sophisticated shooters will prefer. Our third test gun, the Springfield Armory XD9 O.D. Green, simply offered outstanding ergonomics and a rapid-action trigger. |
