Buying a Used Beretta AL391 Urika 20 Gauge On GunBroker.com

When Gun-Tests.com tested the Beretta AL391 Urika 20 Gauge in the magazine’s June 2008 issue, the retail price was listed as a stiff $1350.

But GunBroker.com auctions have the guns selling used for $400 below that. For instance, Auction # 106087392 had a “like new” 20 ga/28 in. for $830.

That kind of discount makes it a bargain, in the opinion of GunReports.com staff.

Elsewhere, Auction # 106386971 had a starting bid of $499.99 for the Urika, but the reserve hadn’t been met yet. The seller listed the “buy now” price as $1101.10, so it’s tough to tell what the reserve might be set at. But $900 for a new Urika would be a good price, in our view.

Our cohorts at Gun-Tests.com said of the Urika, “During the shooting tests, we experienced no malfunctions with the Beretta, and we appreciated the manner in which it ejected shells with speed and authority. Coupled with the Beretta’s slightly better feel and handling and lower price, we gave it the first place award in this match up. For shooters who lean toward the traditionalist side of the scale, the Beretta rings all the right bells.”
