Return Of The Speed Pump Shotgun

MORGAN, UTAH ó In a year of many milestones in the legendary history of Winchester firearms, Winchester Repeating Arms is excited to announce the return of the new Speed PumpÆ shotgun to the companyís product line for 2008.

The Winchester Speed Pump is FAST! In August 2006, Xtreme Sport Shooter Patrick Flanigan broke six hand thrown clay targets individually, without assistance, from the hip with the Speed Pump shotgun, setting a new world record.

The Speed Pumpís rotary bolt design features four massive lugs that allows inertia to start the forearm and slide mechanism rearward as the stock recoils against the shoulder, giving a head start on the next shot. Dual steel action bars eliminate twisting, binding and wasted time and energy when cycling the action.

Winchester Speed Pump Field models have .742″ Back-Bored Technology barrels with the Invector-Plusô choke system for less shot deformation. All barrels are fully chrome plated for durability using steel or tungsten shot.

The new Speed Pump will be offered in a Walnut Field and Black Shadow Field models as well as a Defender model. The Walnut Field features an elegant, gloss-finished walnut stock and forearm with cut checkering. Barrel lengths are 26″ and 28″ and average weight is 7 lbs. Suggested Retail, $399.00. The Black Shadow Field features a tough composite stock and forearm with a non-glare matte finish barrel and receiver with 26″ or 28″ barrels. Suggested Retail, $349.00.

A Speed Pump Defender model will also be offered with composite stock and forearm and fully chromed plated, 18″ cylinder choked barrel. It also has non-glare metal surfaces and weight is 6 1/2 lbs. Additional features include a five-shot magazine and deeply grooved forearm for control and stability. Suggested Retail, $299.00.
