I hope that Mr. Calvin Johnston will understand that running a company depends on good word of mouth from their customers. Mr. Tom Fruechtel, certainly did not.He stopped Precision Reticle's flow of Leupold parts and now all of their customers who bought Leupold scopes boosted and improved for mainly Benchrest shooting, cannot get them worked on if the customer wants to change reticles or if they should need repairs. The owner/operators of Premier would be more than glad to continue to serve their old Leupold customers, However, Tom Fruechtel it is my understanding after speaking with various people at the NRA CONVENTION IN CHARLOTTE last month wanted Leupold to do the same work that Premier was doing in order to keep the work in house at Leupold. It would appear they were not able to perform the same quality of service the good people at Premier had done for a very long time. I lost a good friend who had purchased a Leupold boosted but not with a 1/8 min. fine crosshair benchrest reticle before his death and his widow sold it to me in good faith that it was properly set up for the Hickory Groundhog shoot, which should have been dots for 100/300/500 yard elevation and windage dots. When I returned it for the installation of the correct reticle and was informed, they could not risk working on it as Leupold would not provide them with repair parts if something broke. When I called Leupold and ask them to do the necessary service, I was informed that the warrenty was voided by purchasing if from Premier, and under NO circumstance would they replace the reticle with the one I needed. I further asked an employee at the booth to have me Tom Fruechtel to please give me a call, in hopes of being able to work out a solution. NO CALL, NO SPEAKING TO HIM AT Leupold either. RJ'S INC.
