The SR9 fit seventeen rounds of 9mm inside a grip thinner than that of a 1911.
Note the oversized chamber indicator behind the barrel hood. The striker indicator is peeking out from the rear of the slide and the frame mounted thumb safeties are in the up position, (on-safe). The rear sight unit was drift adjustable for windage but the inner portion of the sight was raised and lowered by a screw.
