Ruger Stainless New Bearcat .22 LR

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

GUN TESTS GRADE: C Clean, with construction like old Remington single actions, the New Ruger Bearcat cuts a clean figure. The gun had small grips, but it was an endearing design.

The arrow points to the fully extended ejector rod. We found loading and unloading more difficult than with the other two DA revolvers with their swing-out cylinders, but this was a rugged, time-proven design. Workmanship was excellent.
The cylinder had rolled-in engravings of a bear and a cat. The hammer was wide, with serrations that helped cocking. Note the cylinder obscures the cartridge rims, so you can't tell which one is empty.
