GUN TESTS GRADE: A
The 4-inch XD45 may be the most versatile pistol in this match up. Concealable and easy to control, it was fun to shoot, too.

The supplied dual-magazine pouch was a valuable extra. The pouch was adjustable for tension, and Picatinny rails ran along the edges. The Streamlight TLR-2 gun light on the left cost almost as much as the pistol, but could prove invaluable. It featured a laser as well as white light. Its quick attach/detach system was also a big plus.
Another extra was the magazine loader. The pistol-grip action makes this design one of the best we've seen.
