Located in the top of the stock, the bolt and action of the Walther do not provide the easy access that our test group would prefer in the case of a malfunction. Unlike the Browning, single-shot operation was very difficult.
We were very pleased with the large, easy-to-use ambidextrous safety on the Walther. Its location just above the trigger (arrow) is a plus.
The solid black sights were a little hard to use and did not provide quick and easy target acquisition. We would recommend the installation of some type of optics. Here, the G22 wears a standard riflescope, but a dot sight would probably work better.
