Rock River Arms Pro Carry .45 ACP

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

Clean lines, finely checkered rosewood grips and great steel checkering are the hallmarks of Rock River's Pro Carry, the least expensive of our test trio. However, the blued finish was not adequate, we thought, for a gun in this price range. Rock River's website didn't give the price of an alternate finish, which they do offer. Your choice of 20, 25, or 30 lines per inch on the steel checkering.

The arrow points to a corner that gouged our hands during clearance drills. It would be a simple matter to round this gouging edge, but Wilson alone did so.
At 25 lpi, the Pro Carry’s checkering was most pleasant to many of our test crew. The work covered more of the strap than on any other gun, and — like the work on all three guns — it was very well done.
