Taurus PT-22 .22 LR

We particularly liked this little DAO .22. The controls wereminimal, the shooter only needing to point and squeeze to shootit. There was a safety which could be used to add to security withthe gun loose in the pocket. The highly curved trigger made DAO apleasure, with easy operation and usable accuracy.

The PT-22 had a longer sight radius and slightly longer barrel than the Beretta, which helped power and accuracy. So did excellent sights. The hammer always remained down on the Taurus, requiring a long but smooth and controllable pull. The front sight was serrated to cut glare.
Both of these pop-barrel .22s allowed the easy removal of the slide for internal cleaning. On the Taurus, pop the barrel, press lightly on the trigger (with the empty magazine in place), pull the slide rearward and lift.
