Like the T/C Hawken, the Lyman has a coil spring lock for fast, dependable ignition.
To get the Lyman rifle to shoot to point of aim, we replaced the adjustable sight with the buckhorn sight that came with the rifle. We still had to file the front sight down to get the rifle to shoot low enough. However, the buckhorn sight did give it a more traditional look.
