Outstanding feel and accuracy was spoiled by blow back of debris. Warranty work should save the day, but in its current condition, we’d have to pass on it.

We tried to find out why our STI Lawman was blowing hot gases and debris out of the ejection port and back towards the shooter. After several measurements we concluded that the chamber was cut too deeply, preventing the case from sealing in pressure. We think this is why the loaded round in the STI barrel (center) is showing so much of the barrel hood above the rear of the case.
The magazine well shows almost no bevel work, but that left plenty of material to blend in a proper magazine guide. The bottom of the mainspring housing was already drilled and tapped. Gravel finish grips were a composite material.
