GUN TESTS GRADE: B+
If Smith & Wesson is going to play hide and seek with the next Model 25, then some of these guns may end up in a collector's cabinet. But that would be a shame. The 25-13 is a good-looking, friendly-shooting revolver that packs a lot of pleasure into a formidable sidearm.

The Smith & Wesson adjustable sight is one of the best ever. The top strap of the frame was finished in a matte. The stem of the rear sight base was lined to match the top rib of the barrel.
The Model 25-13 was built on a square-butt frame. The grip made the gun even taller but offered finger grooves on the front. A portion of the back strap was left exposed to shorten the trigger span.
