Gun Report

Sig Sauer SP 2340 .40 S&W

Clean and business-like, our all-black Sig 2340 had tritium sights, which upped the price a bit. This pistol was very accurate with all ammo tried, but we thought it was a tough shift from DA to SA mode, compared with the other all-DAO pistols. That stubby hammer was a tough catch for the thumb.

We liked the easily seen sights, but didn't like the high position of this gun in the hand. Muzzle flip is exaggerated, and the gun felt top heavy to some of our shooters. Still, it was an easy and comfortable gun to shoot, for the most part.
Swiss polymer frame, Italian magazine, and U.S.- made slide all came together in a pleasant, if bulky, pistol.
