Located just below and to the left of the exceptionally smooth operating grip safety was the key operated lock (arrow) that seized the action by freezing the mainspring.
The front sight was grooved to kill glare and was also fully blended into the slide. The lower section of the slide was a sparkling matte finish that was carried over into the recess of the front cocking serrations.The high surfaces of the serrations were polished. The combination of finishes was very attractive, we thought.
