Gun Report

Nowlin Match Master .45 ACP

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

We thought the Nowlin Match Master was one attractive pistol. However, it needed its edges smoothed a bit more to please us, if the gun is going to be used for any kind of self-defense use. The company information claimed this was primarily a bullseye pistol, yet its marvelous sub-2-pound trigger was illegal for that activity. The gun showed excellent workmanship, outstanding accuracy, and was fully reliable.

The Match Master proudly displayed the Pistolsmith’s Guild logo. We weren’t totally happy with the ambidextrous safety. It interfered with the trigger finger of some shooters, especially in offhand shooting.
