A full-length guide rod added weight to the muzzle. After unscrewing the forward part of the guide rod, field stripping was similar to the Colt Gunsite, but we had to use a bushing wrench to comfortably remove the guide rod plug.
The TRP’s extras included night sights, skeletonized speed trigger, ambidextrous safety, and Allen-head grip screws.
