The hammer of the Ruger SSMBH-4F (Single Six Model Bird's Head with 4-inch barrel) was flat and relied upon a transfer bar (arrow) to set the frame-held firing pin into motion.
This is a smaller-framed revolver than the Uberti Cattleman, with room for only two screws. This gun had wood grips and a case hardened finish.
