Attractive, as AK-47s go, the Arsenal USA rifle was very well made, we thought, but its particular batch of parts is becoming scarce. We thought it was one of the best-made AKs we've examined, despiteits stamped receiver.

The trigger pull was an exceptional 5-pounder. It took 4 to get past the first stage, and a clean 1 pound more to break. We liked this AK-47.
Clean workmanship was evident everywhere. Per AK design, the bolt didn't stay open after the last shot. The long-lever safety is just above the trigger (arrow). This standard-type rifle accepted all standard AK magazines.
The innards of the Arsenal USA were also cleanly made and well finished. Just below the spring is the hammer, one of the U.S.-made parts.
