Gun Report

Iver Johnson Pony .380 Auto, $250 (Grade F)

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The Iver Johnson Pony had big problems. We could not get it to feed anything, and it lost its front sight after the first shot. The gun was hardly used, but showed scratches and gouges from age. However, lots of the scratches and gouges were put there when the gun was made. Some of them were blued over, and some left crudely filed in the white. We didnít think a lot of this pistol.

Note the scratched bare metal on both sides of the slide below the muzzle area. This was apparently filed away to clear the receiver after the gun was assembled.
