GUN TESTS GRADE: A
Savage utilized a stock designed by Maj. John Plaster, author of a well-known manual on sniping. We liked the control this stock gave to the trigger finger, and its overall comfort. This stainless rifle shot well with one of two types of match ammo tried. The fluted barrel helped dissipate heat. The shooter could change butt length and eye height with included accessories.
