Gun Report

Chinese M54-1 Tokarev 7.62x25mm

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The Chinese copy of the Tokarev had an even, brushed or as-ground finish, and worked almost exactly like the Polish version. Big difference was the obviously added-on safety of this handgun. Slide serrations are more conventional here, and this gun was two ounces heavier than the Polish version. If the safety worked better, this gun would be fine for cocked-and-locked carry. The fixed sights were effective enough.
