Gun Report

Anschutz Model 1730 D HB Stainless .22 Hornet

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

Nice European walnut gracefully styled and impeccably finished surrounds the Anschutz's Model 54 Target action and heavy stainless barrel. The trigger was excellent, as were feed and function. The cost of this rifle drove it into the Conditional Buy category, as some of the less nicely-finished rifles offered equal performance.

Anschutz offers a variety of rifle designs and styles in the Hornet chambering. Everything about this rifle worked well, and overall workmanship was outstanding.
