The muzzle of the Old West revolver had a nick that went into the rifling. We fixed this with a countersink and careful scraping before firing a shot.
The finish of the Old West had been removed by a process that left small patches of bluing on the gun, as shown here on top of the steel grip strap. This didnít add to the aged look.
