The Hogue rubberized stock has a tacky forend finish that provides a good gripping surface, even when wet.
The muzzle brake on the light rifle does reduce recoil noticeably. The barrel is a stainless steel liner surrounded by carbon fiber.
Like on the stock Ruger, we didn't like the Mag Lite's magazine release. The lever style on the Briley is a much better design, in our estimation.
The Magnum Lite is neither muzzle heavy nor a burden to tote at 4.4 pounds sans scope.
