The triggers were gold plated and protected by a well-shaped guard that had a spray of impressed engraving. This gun inspired confidence.
The serial number was unobtrusive under the top lever. The extractors got nearly a 180-degree bite on empties, and lifted them 0.25-inch free of the chambers. Safety was non-auto. This was a good, clean, solid, well-made double.
The 411R had attractive brownish case coloring that might have been the real thing. Inletting and metal work were excellent, as was the checkering.
