As previously noted, our Llama MAX-1 printed groups about 7 inches to the left of point of aim, too much error to be easily corrected by drifting the rear sight. The cause? We think it was uneven machining of the slide. Notice the difference in thickness of the metal between the outside of the slide and the arrow on the left and the same dimension on the right. This caused the barrel to be out of line within the slide. As shown, the amount of metal on the left (the right side of the gun) measured about 0.112 inch thick, and amount of metal on the right (the gun's left side) measured 0.09 inch.
