Gun Report

Ruger GP-100 .357 Magnum

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The Ruger GP-100 was one of the better handgun buys we have seen. It had fine accuracy, solid construction, and the benefits of stainless steel. We would give it a trigger job. It is light enough to be carried and will probably see more use than the other two.

The Ruger design was clean and simple yet eminently useful. This handgun would get lots of use because it’s sensible and easy to shoot. We particularly liked the ungrooved grips.
This hammer was very easy to cock. There was danger of slipping.
