Hammerli SP20 .22LR

There was a problem with our SP20's accuracy. We don't know what caused the first shot to strike away from the rest of the group, but we have to recommend you Don't Buy It for that reason. Otherwise, this innovative pistol had modular grips to fit any hand, precise workmanship, and it worked like a charm.

With the SP20's design, it's easy to get a mirror image left-hand grip.
The SP20 was drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Here the bolt is held open, showing the clean design. Note the ".22" and "l.r." on top of the cocking handles.
Numerous grips of different sizes and configuration flank the guts of the SP20. The arrow points to the safety, which was held in place by the grip, and fell out easily when changing grips.
There's not a whole lot to this design except a plastic grip assembly, a trigger unit, barrel and just enough aluminum to hold it all together. Yes, it's all Swiss precision, but we still question the price.
