The ribboned checkering looked appropriate and marked the style of the Sako. This rifle retained Sako's traditional trigger-guard shape and clean trigger pull.
The detachable magazine came out easily by pinching the button at its front. All the parts were steel and all were nicely machined. No plastic, no stampings.
The rifles all had three locking lugs in a variety of designs. From left, Sigarms, Sako and Browning. The Sako bolthead had a cutout for a spring-loaed ejector, giving the shooter the option of easy or firm ejection.
