Too futuristic-looking for some, the Benelli Nova, with its one piece polymer buttstock/receiver, is nonetheless acquiring a huge following as shooters realize its potential. Although it had a stiff trigger, the Nova was lively, fastshooting, reliable, and smooth.

The Nova came with three chokes, Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. The serrated pistol grip worked well.
Two pins on the side of the action above the trigger guard permitted removing the entire trigger mechanism for cleaning.
The head of the Benelli's bolt rotated into and out of lock. Here the bolt is halfway back. Ejection was positive.
