We liked the classic styling, reliable functioning, easy loading, high capacity and great feel of the Marlin Model 60. Along with its low price were its great iron sights and fine accuracy.

That little button lets you lock the bolt open any time you want, by simply pressing it toward the muzzle while holding the bolt open. It also let you close the bolt after loading. The trigger guard was matte-finished polymer.
