Gun Report

Hi-Point Model CF .380 ACP

The somewhat ungainly Hi-Point Model CF cuts an interesting figure with its two-tone finish. We found the gun to be totally reliable, as usual, but top-heavy and with a too-slick grip.

The safety lever, trigger, and magazine release are the only controls on this minimal but effective handgun. There is a 10-round magazine optional, and also a compensated version. The latter would hardly be necessary, as the heavy slide kept kick to a minimum.
The fully adjustable sights of the Hi-Point gave a decent and highly visible sight picture. There were three bright red dots, which look bland in this b/w photo, but grabbed the eye well, even in dim light. The rear is fully adjustable, but we didn’t have to move it.
