We liked the large and easy-to-read safety on the Weatherby. The bolt stroke with all brands of ammunition was very smooth and effective.
The Accubrake option (about $160 extra) is well worth the money, In our opinion, as felt recoil was substantially reduced. Accuracy from this Weatherby rifle barrel was consistently the best of all three rifles in our test.
While not sporting the appearance of high-grade wood and finely polished steel, this finish is a good user style that fits well and is rugged enough to handle tough conditions.
