Blowback design meant that the barrel was fixed in place. Note the stout recoil spring surrounding the barrel.
Field stripping began with pulling down on the trigger guard.
Left in the down position, the slide-mounted decocker deactivated the trigger. The small pin located below the rear sight (arrow) was the chamber-loaded indicator.
