Our Model 12 was what we would refer to as a factory custom gun, beginning with scroll work on the bolt.
The oversize bolt matched the overbuilt action. But seating it didn’t always ready the trigger to fire. The only way to tell was to touch the trigger. This proved dangerous, leading to an accidental discharge (but the rifle was pointed in a safe direction, and the round impacted a downrange berm.)
