GUN TESTS GRADE: C
While offering cosmetic features and attention to detail we appreciated, the Ithaca didnít shoot where we pointed it and had multiple roughs around its edges.

We appreciated the Model 37ís recoil pad, cut engraving, grip cap, and jeweled breechblock. It wasnít enough to overcome the stock-fit issues most of our shooters had, nor could it compensate for the shooting below point of aim. We are advised, however, that the stocks are being changed to 1.5-inch drop at comb and 2.25-inch drop at heel in the near future.
Though slide-finish wear is normal with pumpguns, the Ithaca showed us unsightly, almost instant scratching and blue wear, while the BPS and 870 both appeared as new after heavy firing. Though certainly no deal-breaker, we just didnít like it.
