Even compared to the detail-rich Ithaca, the superb finish and robust build quality of the BPS suggested that the Browning was the pricier gun, though it actually cost less.
The confidence-inspiring interlock of rib to receiver was one BPS feature that helped it stand out, along with its rich bluing and uniform wood finishes.
While fine for warm weather, one of the only areas we could suggest improvement to the BPS would be a more generous nub on its fast and quiet tang thumb safety to better accommodate gloved hands.
