Though two inches shorter than the other two 45s, the Kahr is just as tall. It held only five rounds in its magazines, two fewer than the others. Recoil was not an issue, but reliability and accuracy were.

The pen points to the fixed rear spring inside the Kahr PM45. The big one slipped off for easy cleaning, but the smaller one did not. This double spring assembly was easy enough to get out and back in, but it made chambering a round difficult.
The arrow points to the right-front lip of the Kahr’s plastic frame. This was cut, apparently by the slide. We don’t think it affected function.
