Two sizes of alternate backstraps were supplied, but not merely to accommodate different-size hands. With the backstrap removed, the action was locked down, itís called the QuickSafe system.
The release for each backstrap was a lever located at the bottom of the removable panels. To prevent the lever from being pushed accidentally, the magazine basepad interlocked with and sealed off the bottom edge of the grip.
