STI International Tactical 4.15 No. 100-41400001-00 40 S&W

Our testers really wanted to like the Tactical 4.15 because of its similarity to a 1911. We liked the added capacity of its double-stack magazine, which fed with no failures. But we don’t know why a gun costing two grand only comes with one of them. Its trigger and action are smooth and refined, but we found the gun tiring to shoot because of the large flared mag well interfering with our grip.

The grip of the Tactical 4.15 is composed of polymer. The grip panels are actually part of the grip and are not removable.
Disassembly of the Tactical 4.15 resembled a 1911 breakdown. Pull the slide back to the disassembly notch and push out the slide-stop lever. Then remove the slide from the frame.
This rivet holding the mag well in place was not flush inside the grip, and it bothered our left-handed shooters.
