The Picuda barrel consisted of a steel liner surrounded by graphite with the grain, or strands of graphite, running parallel to the bore. The goal was to produce a rigid barrel that would release heat as quickly as possible. It also reduced overall weight.
The receiver and Weaver scope mount were machined as one piece. Not only was it asthetically pleasing, but it also proved stronger and more precise than a bolt-on mount. The anodized finish proved highly scuff resistant.
