The fore end slide was short compared to other pump shotguns.
The crossbolt safety was easy to find. When off Safe, it could be a problem for the lefty. Releasing the slide release required a downward clockwise movement.
Single loading began with placing the round atop the elevator. Working the slide to drop it down and send it forward into the chamber was more reliable when performed in two distinct movements. But single loading was easier still when fed from the magazine.
