The hammer was shrouded by the slide. All three models of the P232 are shipped with night sights.
The takedown latch was countersunk (bottom arrow), helping to keep the gun slim and snag-free. The front sight was low mounted, but clearly visible. Note the wavy lines on the top strap. They helped reduce glare.
