Fit and finish of the P238 was excellent. The grip panels looked like aluminum but were actually polymer.
The P238 is a deep concealment pistol designed to be carried cocked and locked. A strong detent to hold the safety in check was a necessity.
Under the hood was a 2.7-inch barrel with solid link. Most small guns have complicated recoil systems but the full length guide rod and single filament spring worked smoothly without malfunction.
