We often see buttstocks with trap doors for a cleaning kit, but they're usually nonfunctional. The Panther's A2 MilSpec stock stored the supplied tool kit, including sheath (not shown) with ease.
The DPMS Panther shipped with two 10-round polymer magazines. Thirty-round magazines featuring stainless steel construction (MA-762-30) are available from for $25.
Familiarity of platform was a plus in our view. Breakdown and cleaning as well as firing procedures remain the same for all ARs regardless of caliber. Dual apertures atop fully adjustable sights have always been among our favorite features in the AR design.
