The compact rear sight unit was pressed into place from the rear of the slide. The hammer returned to this deeply recessed position after every shot. Note the support tabs seated inside the slide rails.
The application of a multi-filament recoil spring is common to Sig Sauer pistols. But the P250’s guide rod was unusual. The end that butts against the barrel lug was heavy, while the rest of the solid guide rod telescoped.
