The heavy barrel held the bore deep in its center. Six flutes accented 20 inches of the 26-inch long barrel. Black Hills 50-grain rounds shot the best overall single three-shot group at 200 yards, about 0.63 inches center to center.
Kimber utilized the Mauser-style controlled-feed bolt and extractor. Leupold-style mounts with windage adjustable rear were made by Kimber.
The pistol grip filled the hand and helped us focus on the trigger. The comb was rounded on the left and edged on the right, favoring the right-handed shooter.
