Gun Report

John Inglis High Power 9mm Luger

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

GUN TESTS GRADE: A
This handgun is wonderfully reliable, user friendly, and still used in combat with our Canadian allies. A well-made handgun, the Inglis features a butt-ugly, but effective, phosphate finish. The raters would carry this one into combat on a moment's notice.

The High Power featured a modern dovetail front sight. Note that this one has been staked in place.
While it is not an attractive pistol, the High Power demanded the respect of all who handled it. This is a first-class military handgun on every count. The John Inglis-produced HP features a low bore axis, short trigger reach, and hand-filling grip. With these advantages, the pistol blazed its way to a first-place finish.
